September 1, 2013 marks a significant milestone for the Nunis.

Today we leave home & start off new as university freshmen. 

Kathy travelled up North (U.Malaya), while I (voila! a southern life for me) -   Welcome to University Technology Malaysia, UTM. Main Entrance - Love at first sight! UTM, hello new home.   UTM image (right) provided by glassdoor.com

Having our hands full with luggages and stuff, off we went - Up up all the way to the 6th floor. Yays to Lifts! Bye stairs :P

Augeny (Geny), my new roomy from Bintulu Sarawak, was already settling in with her family. Sweet family!

Our room was pretty spacious. Being fully furnished with 2 office desks, fluorescent lamp, ceiling fan, curtains (wonder if they've been washed), 2 personal fluorescent desk lamp, metal wardrobes/cupboards, 2 white boards & pin boards, plus 2 single metal beds (without sheets) & a WLan internet cable plug - Kolej Perdana's definitely the best!

Genie and I, we both had ample space...and ample time to do this,

Room satisfactory: personally, it's a 8 out of 10!

The view right outside our window is simply astonishing. Refreshing. Love it!

They say if you get right up till the 9th floor, you could get a glance of Singapore. Yay!

Q&A time: regarding college registration & orientation week

1. 1. What is required for the college registration? Offer letter, IC, and e-Slip
2. 2. How is college registration conducted? Hand in offer letter, get keys, get UTM souvenirs, to room, clean room, head back down to hall for orientations. 
3. 3. What should I wear for the registration? Formal/ Baju Melayu. 
4. 4. What's provided at registration? Bagpack, umbrella, water bottle, Buku Panduan, Buku Peraturan, UTM t-shirt, blue Student fail and some documents that you'll eventually fill up. 
5. 5. What are the things provided & not provided in rooms? Provided: read above. Not provided: Pillow, bedsheet, blanket/comforter, broom, mopper & other household implement. 
6. 6. What other basic items should I bring? Iron, electric kettle, washing agent, extension plug, toiletries, laptop, wlan cord, eating utensils, stationaries, etc.  
7. 7. What do I need for orientation week? Lots of sportswear (t-shirt& tracksuits), 1 set of tradisional costume, pen& notebook, and most importantly - Patience & Willpower (you'll be facing lots of talks) 
8. 8. What types of rooms are available? Double Sharing (room for 2)
